As part of the 245 years old Mack family business we are closely integrated into a network of companies with an unsurpassed expertise in the entertainment field. Not only our home-base Europa-Park, one of the world´s most successful theme parks, but also our close integration with MACK Rides, MACK Media, MACK Animation and VR Coaster give us an unrivaled advantage for our products and clients.
Our history
The history of the Mack family began in 1780 in Waldkirch, Germany, where they worked as carriage builders. Over the centuries, they expanded their trade to include the construction of wagons, carousels, luxury-caravans and later rollercoasters – MACK Rides was born.
In 1975, they founded Europa-Park, which has since grown into one of the world’s most renowned theme parks. In 2019, MACK One was established as an innovative Think Tank dedicated to shaping the innovations of tomorrow.
Today our founder and CEO Michael Mack – being the eldest in the 8th generation & acting in behalf of the family – runs the MACK One as the creative and innovative driver and the bridgehead between the park and its subsidiaries.
Our hubs in Germany, France, UK and Switzerland provide us strategic access to diverse markets, skilled labor pools and favorable business environments in key European economies.
